My name is Petra; I am the creative force behind THE COLOR ALCHEMY.

I grew up in a small town in the Czech Republic, but I have been living in London, United Kingdom, for the past ten years. My background is in economics and administration, yet I soon realised that it wasn't something I wanted to pursue further. To make a long story short, it took me a fair amount of time to figure out what path would be the right fit and bring me joy. One day (approximately after 20 years😄), I held a brush in my hand again and started to paint.

As a self-taught artist and surface pattern designer, I find joy in bringing my colorful visions to life through the medium of watercolor.

I adore bright colors combined with a cheerful and neat design. My creative process usually begins with an idea for a color combination. Then, I think of specific themes or motifs, followed by the concept of repeat patterns. Nature, together with the mesmerising watercolor texture, is my biggest source of inspiration for my designs.
